A Custom Home for the Crofoots

When Jennifer and Dave Crofoot looked for ways to retrofit their home, they found the price of ADA compliant designs, construction and installation, far outweighed the value of their current home. As their son, Easton, grows up, they want independence for him, to be able to come and go as he pleases, with limited assistance. Easton, like many young boys, loves cars and trucks and is developing his own personality and confidence. Born with spina bifida, Easton uses a wheelchair for mobility, and his parents envisioned a ramp and other accessible tools to assist their son at home.

That’s why they turned to Neal Signature Homes. Rather than deal with the impacts of living with construction, as well as the time and costs associated, they saw value in building a new home with design selections made from the beginning. The Crofoots were familiar with the builder’s reputation, and, they were also interested in learning more about the ways their vision for Easton’s future could become a reality. As they explored design and structure options available, a beautiful home site in River Wind presented as the perfect location. Jennifer and Dave were ready, now it was up to Easton.

According to Easton, there was no doubt this was the right decision. Four years ago, while playing at a neighborhood park, Easton befriended a little girl named Mila. From the start, the two played together as if they had known each other for years. As their friendship grew, so did relationships between the families. Mila is the grand-daughter of Nancy and Mike Storey, president of Neal Signature Homes. It seemed as if all along, this was meant to be.

“We are incredibly blessed to have found a company that is taking such great care of us with the attention to the details that will make a huge difference in Easton’s future and independence,” says Jennifer. “I knew that we could count on Neal to meet our special needs in regard to Easton and exceed our expectations in building a dream home for Dave and I.”
